------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-17 21:36 ------- I have been testing both : http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~ghibo/XFree86-server-4.3-6mdk.i586.rpm and/or http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~ghibo/XFree86-server-4.3-6.1mdk.i586.rpm with an up to date cooker install with a radeon 8500 + DRI enabled. VERY good news : no more hard lock when shutting down from KDE !!! DRI is still there. Still annoying : - when logout out from KDE ("connect as another user"), the kdm login screen is displayed with a very strange behavior. The mouse cursor is stuck to the top of the screen. If I move down the mouse device, the cursor is still stuck at the top of the screen and the screen moves up ! I can open a session and navigate with stange behavior. If I "ctrl alt backspace", X restart in 640 x 480. I hope this partial but important fix will make it into the final release. Thanks, FFF ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: NEW creation_date: description: 1. Log in to Mandrake 9.1 RC2 as any user (including root) using KDM (user has the KDE environment). 2. Do whatever. 3. Logout from the KDE environment. 4. After logout the screen goes blank, the signal from the graphics card switches off and you cannot get any login screen up (textual or graphical). Under 9.0 the screen would blank before X starts up with KDM again, this does not appear to be happening under 9.1RC2. I am using a dual P-III SMP system with an ATI Radeon 64Mbyte DDR graphics card.
