description:
I have reviewed several of the bug reports here concerning pcmcia-cs. One thing
many of them share is config file problems. Upon checking I found that Mandrake
is using a config file from Jan 2001. The current source tarball for pcmcia
contains a much newer file. While it is possible to just insert the information
found in the source tarball for pcmcia-cs, why is the older outdated config file
still being used?

Is having this outdated config file just an oversight ? In my case tenacity lead
me to the config settings for my nic card which has been on the market for
almost a year now, and I just pasted the settings into misc.conf and it works
fine. So it doesn't seem to be a case of the new config file being bad or
unusable. What am I missing?
