day, so it was easy to lose track.
By having your own nntp server, you will keep your participants down to
those who are sufficiently interested to set up an account on their
newsreaders. You could also set uo a password using the same criteria
for people who subscribe to the email group.
What about mirroring the club forums at a nntp-server too? Most
newsreaders are much more advanced than the web interface (e.g. filter,
scoring, etc.).
