I updated a machine by hand, starting with the openssh and kernel rpms. Following the dependencies, I ended up having to update glibc.
The problem is I could not use rpm anymore after that (I haven't tried urpmi). I solved my problem by copying over the rpm binaries from an other up to date machine, but there's definitely a weakness here. Maybe I should have used the regular update but I could not boot the floppy at that time. -- _ _ _ _ | |_____| | |_/ | | / / -_) | / / | |_\_\___|_|_\_\_| @ sbcglobal.net
