------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-27 12:32 ------- if lspcidrake -v tells you that it wants 3c509 for the network, make sure that /etc/modules.conf has a line: alias eth0 3c509 or if it wants 3c59x, make sure the above line states 3c59x instead of 3c509 Since you didn't tell us what hardware you actually have, this is the bast I can do... Thomas ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: [see bug #781 - closed as fixed] I have a 3c509 NIC and have failure to connect to network as in #781. Boot options (noapic and acpi=off), together or separately, make no difference. Have tried manual 'ifup eth0', this also fails. Mdk9.0 works fine, apparently with same module, 3c59x [I see a module 3c509 also present??] and without either of the above boot options. I have 9.0 and 9.1 installed on the same PC and have compared setup as far as I understand, can see no differences.
