The awful ‎ is produced by a cut & paste. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: i set up a very standard installation (installed pretty much everything) and mandrake refuses to assign a real IP through dhcp.. or access the internet at all it seems to sit at 'starting eth0' for a long time at startup as well.. i've been through the configuration and its all correct. i've also tried connecting through a tested and working NAT. the other linux installations i've had (slackware 8.1, mandrake 8.something, redhat, freebsd) have all worked fine with my setup. windows, which is installed on the same machine, can access the internet no problem. im not sure where to start, nothing is wrong with the configuration, and it should work fine...
