------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-17-06 13:59 ------- I noticed that this happens when in addition to being logged in graphical mode I am also logged at the 1st text console (i.e. on the one available through CRL-ALT-F1 sequence). Then at the halt this console in brought up and this infamous ;2R appers. This does not seem to happen when I am not logged to text console. I have also experienced loss of subdirectories and files in /etc after having agreed to fsck after one of such unmounted shutdowns. My advice DO NOT check filesystem after unlean shutdown and keep a backup of your system files ;-) Strange, however, is the silence of Mandrake. Aauuuu there...!!! Or the cries of so many users have no significance? -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: LM9.1 final Reboot command brings messages Switching to runlevel: 6 INIT sending procedures the TERM signal and then the prompt appears as this: <hostname>$ ;2R -bash: syntax error near unexpected token `;' and brings the prompt again. If at this prompt I type `halt', the shutdown process continues normally and the system reboots. If I type reboot again, system shuts down immediately with all the `nice' consequences like unmounted fs with errors etc.
