Work on kernel is different from what I do, but two must be coordinated. As David's case has shown, you can't blindly select arbitrary options and expect them to work without extra support from other tools and extra manual configuration involved. So we have to find compromise between amount of changes required and kernel config flexibility. And I do not like "hack" in hackkernel2.5. There is no "hack" here. What is wrong with simply kernel2.5? -andrey
