I've tried Thomas's fixes on a number of occasions., - the floppy image
allows installation., but post install, - still get Kernel panic. (Unable to
edit lilo.conf once installation is complete).

Given that this issue appears to be fixed in the latest kernel., I'm happy
to test it in latest cooker to confirm it works.
Many thanks
-Ivan.

The first bug report was post-beta3, but I see after reviewing the bugs
again that the fix was listed, so it *should* have been fixed, but again
history shows hardware issues should be reported early in beta (ie beta1 or
2) if they are to be fixed (although a number of other hardware issues were
fixed ...). The frame buffer issue was first reported at about the same time
as the PDC 20276 issue, and also wasn't fixed ...

Well, have you tried Thomas's stuff (the bit of my reply that you did not
reply to)?
