hmm, I had problems here, but that may be due to my still using native
dlls a lot and possibly some permission problems

just a few notes in case you're going to build my spec:

I have a global chown and chmod in pre, you may want to disable that. I
did that because we still don't have a default wine group in the distro.
And when you uninstall wine rpm (as you should) the wine group gets
removed. At installation of the new rpm, wine group gets added again,
but it may happen that it gets a different GID and thus files in fakewin
are no longer owned by group wine. The chmod is there to update perms to
2775 as was requested by a few people.

Creation of menu entries seems broken in current wine. I haven't yet
found the cause for this, might be due to the recent changes in wine
itself. Nevertheless, the menu entries from the rpm work. You'll find
them in Applications/Emulators/Wine.

Your symlinks are created as you requested, here are three of them, not
nice but it will do. I would have liked them to be absolute but rpm
doesn't like absolute symlinks so I just accepted relative ones

[EMAIL PROTECTED] markd]$ ls -l /var/lib/wine/windows/
insgesamt 49
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     wine           39 Jun 29 19:52 aviinfo.exe ->
../../../../usr/lib/wine/aviinfo.exe.so*
 lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     wine        39 Jun 29 19:52 aviplay.exe ->
../../../../usr/lib/wine/aviplay.exe.so*
 lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     wine        37 Jun 29 19:52 clock.exe ->
../../../../usr/lib/wine/clock.exe.so*

hmm, I think that's all for now. Do ask if something in my spec is
unclear (I just saw that there is a bogus line right at the end of it
:-/ ).
