This bug is related to a product which is not any more in MandrakeLinux.
As a consequence is now marked resolved with the OLD resolution.

The Olympus d150/c220 camera uses usb-storage, but it's broken in hardware.
It has to do with the data signature in the usb-storage protocol, where it
should send a USBS signature, but it sends an USBU signature.
When you connect the device to the computer, the kernel will lock up when
hotplug loads the usb-storage module.
There's a workaround for this hardware problem. It works great for me, but I'm
not sure if it breaks other usb-storage hardware. Could someone from the
kernel-team look into this?
I will attach a patch that should apply against 2.4.21-pre7-2mdk
