description:
Several errors occurred:

1. Installed Mandrake using expert mode, selecting many packages in the list.
At the end of the second disc, errors occurr with packages as xemacs, xchat,
etc. The third disc loads and packages install. But at the end, I get an
error saying some necessary packages are not installed, so the installation
cannot continue. Deselecting the not yet installed packages reduces the list
to 4 packages that still need to be installed, but I cannot see which packages
they are. Pressing okay gives me the same error message.

2. Installing using expert mode, selecting almost nothing installs all packages
correctly, and post install succeeds as well. After setting up timezone and
television card, the installation proceeds to the lilo configuration. But
before I get the window, a mkinitrd failed message appears. Creating a
bootdisk also fails with a mkbootdisk failed message. Setting X windows also
fails. Upon resetting, I cannot boot into Mandrake. Mounting the volume with
e.g. Tomsrtbt shows that some files are missing in /boot, e.g. boot.b.

My system is a MSI MB, Athlon 800 Mhz, 512 MB Ram, 60 GB HDD, Leadtek 601 tv-
card.
