The problem was still there after the removal of the firebird rpm. I had
suspected the new optimization settings in 2mdk, but I can rule them out because
I've rebuilt the 1mdk package with %optflags. That's why it has to be the l10n
support.

The latest 1.4-2mdk version of mozilla doesn't start but produces an error popup:
'Error launching browser window: no XBL binding for browser'
Downgrading to 1.4-1mdk fixed this. I suspect the optimization flags as source
of the problem.
