I'm not the sasl expert ;-). And I am actually just working on openldap
for Samba's sake (and to try and ensure that when I leave here if someone
upgrades one of our servers from 9.0 or 9.1 that the ldap db doesn't die).

Could you make the patches available somewhere?

And who decided to use gdbm for everything in 9.1??

But it may be best if someone use sasldb can help/test etc. My only
interest in sasl is authenticating cyrus-imapd against ldap (maybe I
should just use pam_ldap ;-).
