Or, you could just change: SASL_TIME_OF_DAY_LOGIN_RESTRICTIONS=yes to SASL_TIME_OF_DAY_LOGIN_RESTRICTIONS=no (or anything besides yes/Yes/YEs/YES/yES/yeS/ etc really) in /etc/sysconfig/saslauthd The fact that provision was made for the flag means it probably worked at some time, which means that it would be more productive to get it fixed instead ...
