It seems that saslauthd-daemon does not understand parameter -T. man pages say, that this parameter is optional and only some systems support it.
This is due to a change in the parameters accepted in saslauthd in 2.1.13. I reported this when I submitted a new package for cyrus-sasl2 and both the report and the fixed package have been dutifully ignored.
