Well, it has been planed, if you l look to the wiki, on warly's todo 
list, you will see it is planned.

I do not think so.
What stop the release of a beta is first the broken dependancies, which 
requires almost all the distro to be rebuild.
Search the archives for the thread about devel dependacies, and perl 
requirement auto discovery.

So, the compiler is not the big issue. It stops the kernel, but, we have 
a working kernel, it only lacks ntfs, and juan is working on it, and i 
think someone has a alternative with some fix.

So, don't worry, as usual, everything is under control...
