To me it looks (from their press release) like they are wanting to
off-load their packaging of software to the original developer. Seeing
the quality (or lack thereof) of packages made by developers, I am
really undecided as to whether this will result in better or worse
packages in Redhat ;-).

I think time would be better spent getting some ideas from other distros
[1] into Mandrake instead[2], but preferably in a more collaborative
manner[3]

BTW, I have made some biggish changes to the main cooker wiki page,
please let me know if I have lost something, and I will try and find it
... and if I don't get feedback, I may just continue doing what I like ;-).
