Ok, OK
<snide-remarks>
Lets stop the presses...

All of those CD's that were made in the manufacturing plant must be thrown
out, so that we can update a package that may, or may not ever be used by the
average person.
</snide-remarks>

SOLUTION: How about everyone here compromises a little bit?

tomsrtbt advocates:

stop flaming mandrake for something they can no longer change. GET OVER IT IT
IS TOO LATE. as they say in the industry, the CD has gone gold. We should have
found and fixed this problem earlier, and hey, at least it is not like Win2000
with 65000 bugs. if tomsrtbt is the only faulty package, we should be Happy.
If we wait for every bug/fault to be fixed, kernel 4.2 will be out before
Mandrake 7.1

Mandrake People:

lets issue an errata on the day of release of 7.1: in the updates system for
tomsrtbt, with the latest and greatest. saying that the one supplied did not
work.

This *should* placate everyone here, and lower the signal/noise ratio of this
list
