------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-28-07 02:53 ------- I tried this on 2 different installs of Mandrake 9.1 BEFORE posting the first time (both on different hard drives of the same machine). Both have the same problem! i.e. it is not possible to compile a kernel for 9.1 at ALL! I would beg to differ with the view in one of the previous postings that not being able to compile the kernel is a minor issue - I would say it is fairly major in the principle of linux. Any news of fix or suggestions for workaround welcome. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: NEW creation_date: description: Hello, just compiling kernel 2.4.21-0.18mdk and I experienced this problem with latest Cooker gcc-3.3-1mdk: ... make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.18mdk/kernel' gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.4.21-0.18mdk/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -march=i686 -nostdinc -iwithprefix include -DKBUILD_BASENAME=sched -fno-omit-frame-pointer -c -o sched.o sched.c sched.c: In function `schedule': sched.c:714: internal compiler error: in merge_assigned_reloads, at reload1.c:6134 Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate.
