Just downloaded and fresh installed 9.2 beta 1. Problem still present with 
packages inculded in this DISTRO. Confirmed as still present

just compiling kernel 2.4.21-0.18mdk and I experienced this problem with latest
Cooker gcc-3.3-1mdk:
