Here are some more remarks on the installation process.
(both hardisks were empty (cleared partition table))

BUG NOTE: I first selected Server instead of Development. Selecting a
new class (by going back to the class selection screen) does NOT seem to
work (i.e. auto allocate will allocate for the 1st selected class)

Cryptographic setup step is skipped (it *does* show up on the
"installation log terminal")
if I exit setup before filesystems are formatted then I have to manually
reboot the system, after formatting exiting the setup will automaticly
reboot the system.
textual installation process: during partitioning the harddrive it's not
possible to cancel the installation process (if you don't have any linux
partitions on exiting fdisk the install process will just start fdisk
again, so if you want to stop you have to restart the system and try
again).
DrakConf seems to be missing (although an icon is placed on the gnome
desktop)
Auto Powerdown on system halt doesn't work anymore (it worked with
Mandrake 7.0 for me?
