Pixel...ah ha! I've been waiting to say this to someone, and
you're it!!
Speaking as a native American English speaker, I wish you guys
who use the last half of manDRAKE to name the utilities would
please quit dropping the final E (making drake into drak).
The reason for this request is that in English, that final,
silent E has an effect on the pronunciation of the A (drAkE).
When the silent E is there then the A gets pronounced just
like the letter A is prounced in the aplphabet, it called a
long A.
But when you remove the silent E (drAk) the A changes
pronounciation to a short A as in the word 'at'.
To me, the short 'A' pronounciation sounds horrible and I
respectfully request that you guys restore all of the missing
"silent E's", like DrakeX, DrakeConf, drakeboot, drakefont,
drakesec, drakex, drakextools, drakefloppy, drakefont,
drakexconf, drakexservices, etc.
