Would it be possible if you turned on multiple scsi luns  on in the 
kernel as this would make my 6 in 1 usb card reader work out the box. 
Without me haveing to change anything anywhere.

No alsa 0.9.5?  Alsa 0.9.6 came out today.
I tried compiling it against the current kernel, but I get unresolved

I thought Juan was working on 0.9.5 since we have
the rest of it in Cooker already...
If not, I have added the 0.9.6 to my ToDo
along with i2c / lmsensors 2.8.0 + addons
if Juan / Nicolas wont update them soon...
And then we have acpi, scsi, usb, ...
   

acpi is pretty trivial i think, the 2.4.21 patch applies cleanly only
my_hacked_dsdt should be slightly modified(the cofigure help entry)
i also have most of the usb updates that went in 2.4.21-pre1
