Does that mean we can expect better support for DVB cards? Like just being able to press a tune button in a nice GUI and then selecting the channel you want to watch?

Why can't everything work out the box with linux? I've been impressed so far with linux esp with DVDs and playing all sorts of media files out the box can't we carry it on to all aspects of Mandrake?

Sort of off topic Austin, but what did you pick up? I'm always very keen on high-end sound and video stuff.

Ooo, forgot to mention. I've been doing a fair bit of analogue video grabbing and editing, and rendering, and transcoding, and burning. Also, I should get a firewire card very soon, and learn how to capture digital video as well. So it looks like there will be a Mandrake Digital Video Workstation HowTo for 9.2 as well. Should be almost all inclusive. I'm quite excited about it.

It would be nice if they could be hosted somewhere more official than on my crappy server or desktoplinux.com though.

Take care,
Austin
