My ~/.gnome2/session had some useless entries such as Mozilla. Try to remove them or to delete these useless entries. Hope this helps :) Another problem solved by cleaning my ~/.gnome2/session is that logout was disabled for some minutes after having started gnome2. -- Olivier Blin
