Well, I have used enough of each of those drives to calculate MTBF from a 
Poisson distribution, though it is basically dangerous to separate them by 
brand name without reference to function, technology, etc, but it is the best 
data I have.  I know of no specific issues affecting a Fujitsu, but I have 
had greater reliability (and better MTBF by 100% or more) from IBMs and 
Quantums.  YMMV, of course.

Works here.  You have to use the ALSA sound driver, which is not installed by 
default, but otherwise the whole operation seems smooth and you can 
overclock/underclock from the console to tune for best performance.  It does 
require the better grades of SDRAM  (PC133 certified strongly recommended) 
for consistent performance.  Even the blasted ATA/66 seems to work, and work 
more reliably than any of the ABITs which I no longer use.
