I know it's kind of late in the game and it's been discussed before but I was wondering if we could have a "Laptop Installation" class. For now, all it would have to be is: a kernel with ACPI enable and things like SCSI and other stuff not found in laptops turned off. Then for software, just enable ACPI by default and install/configure the suspend scripts. Currently, as an (ignorant) user, I have to make sure to enable ACPI during install, and remember to install the other scripts post install...
