well, if you say so ... why they are included then? OK the usual answer is "legacy" ... note that moving to hotplug would make it completely transparent for users who would not even know what module gets loaded. leaving both in kernel just shows one of hotplug problems - the lack of some policy for driver selection. Both match so both will be loaded. With quite interesting result - who actually wins (the first one I assume)? or is it possible that several drivers attach to the same USB device - in this case events will be doubled? somebody can test it?
