I have a laptop without a floppy. Then I create a bootable image with mkisofs -b using hd.img, and I burn this image to a CD-RW.
This become an important question. More and more computer are shipped without a floppy. Not because of its price, but only because floppy is now useless or impossible (like VIA mini-ITX).
