I am trying to change the 16 bit i/o seetings for my hard drive to 32 bit to drive to speed up access with the following command: hdparm -c 1 -d 1 /dev/hde (I have ata/66 drives working on hde/hdg) I wait a good 5 minutes and nothing ...just hangs, but I can close the x-terminal. Any ideas here/ BTW, I got this tweak tip from: http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/hardware/hdtweak.html ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
