I've very quickly grown attached to AbiWord: it loads fast, has a pretty clean interface, and seems to have a very active development community. I agree with Marcel that AbiWord is extremely complementary to Gnumeric, as well as to GNOME 2.4's maturity as a platform. Of course, KDE users still benefit from the two applications. The release roadmap also matches Mdk's release timing to a "T": http://www.abisource.com/mailinglists/abiword-dev/2003/Aug/0044.html What way the higher-ups? - John
