Have you ever seen Wolfgang Petersen's 80's sci fi classic
movie, 'Enemy Mine'? It was filmed in English and if you've
seen that original English version then the pronunciation of
drak (drake without the e at the end) is exactly the same as
the name of the alien race the humans were at war with (one of
which was masterfully portrayed by Louis Gossett Jr.). It's
not pronounced at all like the German word 'dreck'.
