Although I like the look of having a bootsplash at startup, I've noticed one setback. On my laptop I frequently add and remove a USB mouse. The startup screen hangs on harddrake but I don't realize it until I hit F2. Is there a way to let the user know that new hardware has been detected? Can harddrake interrupt the bootsplash on it's own...
