           Product: gdm
         Component: program
Summary: gdm not configured properly / no default gnome.system
           Product: gdm
           Version: 2.4.2.102-2mdk
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P1
         Component: program
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

System:
- 9.2 B2
- XFS File System
- Gnome Only Install
- Defaulte Runlevel N 5

After a clean installation of Mandrake 9.2 B2 using only the Gnome WM, a warning
stating that no sessions were available and gdm.conf needs to be reconfigured.
I logged into the failsafe terminal and noticed that a default gnome.desktop
wasn't present under /etc/X11/dm/Sessions. I started gnome manually then
created a soft link gnome.desktop to the newly created GNOME.desktop. I
restared X and was able choose a Gnome session and login normally. I could have
reconfigured gdm.conf or moved GNOME.desktop to gnome.desktop as well but chose
to submit the bug instead.

I have noticed some other posts on this as well. Please squash this one :)
