I did install from ISO on hard drive. After the install was completed, the
installer killed X and returned to console (ctrl-alt-f1) where the messages
about unmounting filesystems appear. The last such message was an error
message:
/tmp/hdimage umount failed
At this point the installer remains stuck forever (never reboots by itself).
So ctrl-alt-del is the only way out.
