I don't know what do to, some people may appreciate the console
background as it is now, if you really don't want this background, set
LOGO_CONSOLE=no in /etc/sysconfig/bootsplash.
I'll play with LOGO_CONSOLE=yes/vt/theme and try to find a solution.
