I don't know how to run it out of gdb for example. The annoying thing about his bug is that it doesn't report anything. Just comes up, then goes down... Cheers for your work! Running the command manually ('kfmclient openProfile filemanagement') from the Konsole has the same result - and no errors reported in Konsole window. However, running 'konqueror' from the Konsole is fine. Verbose messages are displayed in the Konsole window, and the default Konqueror window (the same as when 'home' is clicked) appears without crashing.
