Same problem with the latest cooker network install.img. (dated 28.08.2002
18:14:00). It freezes at the "Ok booting kernel" stage. Passing various options
to the kernel does not seems to allow booting.

Redhat 9's 2.4.20-8 kernel boots and installs normally on the same machine.

The only way to launch the installation on my NEC Powermate, with AMD Athlon,
128Mo, is to use alt1 (kernel 2.2.X ).
But the installer doesn't install a kernel 2.2 but only a 2.4.x kernel, so i
can't boot on it !
I don't understand why it doesn't work with kernel 2.4, it crash on the word
"booting on kernel..."
I've tried somethin like linux mem=112M, but it doesn't work anymore...
I've Mandrake 9.1 RC2
