------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-09 15:46 -------
Forgive me for posting this here, but I posted this comment on bug 5092, however
this bug has gone into "RESOLVED" status, so it did not show up on the mailing
list. This looked familiar.

A similar thing happens to me on one of my test systems.

Here is what happens: If I click on a package that has dependent modules that
need to be installed, a box pops up that indicates the names of modules that
must be installed to complete my selection. Unfortunately, that box does not
steal focus from the main window, and appears in the upper left corner of the
rpmdrake window at (0,0).

Two things here: The child window appears in the wrong place - it should be
centered in the client area of rpmdrake so that it can be seen, and secondly,
that new window should not allow focus to be returned to the parent until it is
dealt with.

If I click on the client area of rpmdrake because either I am too impatient or
it I didn't see the child, focus is returned to main window, the child remains
hidden, and I assume rpmdrake is locked up. At this point, kill -9 works wonders.

This should be fixed, IMHO.

When doing an "Install" of 9.2B1, if you are selecting
individual packages, clicking on the gif2png package causes
the install to hang.

On a related topic - openoffice.org cannot be selected. If you
click on it during install, a popup appears that says
"This package cannot be selected/unselected"
