------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-09 17:02 ------- Easiest fix for broken X config is: # mv -f /etc/X11/XFConfig* /tmp # XFdrake --auto --expert (don't test, just quit and save). This has worked for over 35 people I have suggested this to ... =>no need for mc. For NVidia drivers, XFdrake has support for them if you use the RPMs. It's just tough that NVidia doesn't build the RPMs anymore. Maybe you can file a bug on XFdrake that it should test for the NVidia drivers by trying to load the nvidia module, instead it's current method of checking for the NVIDIA_kernel rpm matching the current kernel. Anyway, if you choose "Console Tools" during installation, mc should be installed by default (AFAIK). If you didn't choose "Conosle Tools", you also don't get bash-completion (which is more useful IMHO) or screen either. Just install mc with: # urpmi mc -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: RESOLVED creation_date: description: my oppinion is that midnight commander is a powerful console tool and should be selected by default! thanx
