------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-05-09 04:29 ------- emacs -name "GNU Emacs" works as it renames the "root widget"... You'd need entries like this in .Xdefaults: GNU_Emacs*title: Emacs GNU_Emacs*cursorColor: yellow GNU_Emacs*foreground: white GNU_Emacs*background: black GNU_Emacs*font: 7x13bold use editres to verify. -Bryan -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: REOPENED creation_date: description: When called as 'emacs', /etc/X11/app-defaults/Emacs overrides values written in $HOME/.Xdefaults. I think values in $HOME should override the defaults. Workarounds: - call emacs as 'emacs-21.3' - call emacs with a different name argument like 'emacs -name "GNU Emacs"'
