i failled to understand sound service status regarding this bug.
what's your current /etc/modules.conf regarding sound ?
are you sure you get no sound if you reenable sound service ?
maybe the fix was triggered by a kernel update ?

Hi
Found another bug....not in the download version but in the Power Pack 9.1. My
sound works only after deactivating the sound service but could
also be because of xinetd as I deactivated both at the same time and suddenly
after rebooting I had sound.
Thanks for checking that. See also my previous mail about my soundmodul
troubles.
