No, I don't like that idea, because it would make it too easy for noobs to try the wrong driver and break stuff. The current way is mostly fine - it just needs to follow standard practice and include the currently used driver on the list of available drivers, with some kind of mark to show that it *is* currently being used (an asterisk or whatever). -- adamw
