           Product: Bugzilla
         Component: mail
Summary: "From:" headers not RFC822 compliant
           Product: Bugzilla
           Version: 2.17.4
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mail
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Also posted this on cooker a couple of weeks before, but no reponse, so I'm
filing an official bug report:

I've installed a pretty strict antispam ruleset for our exim4 MTA which
among other things expects real RFC822 compliance.

The mails from bugzilla at qa.mandrakesoft.com fail here:

-----CUT-----
2003-09-08 10:46:54 19wHfh-0006OU-VS H=ezoffice.mandrakesoft.com
(qa.mandrakesoft.com) [212.11.15.34] F=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> rejected after
DATA: missing or malformed local part (expected word or "<"): failing address in
"From" header is: [somebody] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
-----CUT-----

Easy to workaround on our side, but it might be a good idea to make the
mails RFC822 compatible as other MTA might reject those mails as well.

This is probably one of the reasons why some people whine about not getting
mails from bugzilla.
