After updating to kernel 2.4.22.7mdk in order to test suspend to disk/resume
(which worked fine for the first time at my machine with this kernel version),
sound no longer works (neither PCM nor Audio CDs), and trying to start alsamixer
results in the following error message:
alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for default: No such file or directory
