I have a philips PCVC740 (Toucam pro) webcam that uses that module. It
worked fine for years (as long as I can remember).
I upgraded the kernel recently to 2.4.22.8mdk (my previous kernel was
2.4.21.0.13mdk) but now I can't plug-in the webcam anymore because it
reboots the system after a few seconds.
The last message in syslog before reboot is "kernel: pwc Registered as
/dev/video0" so the module loading is okay.
Somebody has a similar problem?
