After a fresh install of Mdk 9.2 rc2, I tried to plug and access my external
hard drive, a Momobay 40 Go with an USB connection. I use it with Windows XP,
there is one partition in NTFS.
When I turned on the device, an icon appeared on the desktop (Kde), but with the
title "unmounted on sdb1" (sorry I don't remember the exact words). When I tried
to "mount" it (right click with the mouse), I got the following error message:
> Error - kio_devices_mounthelper
> mount: type de sys. de fichiers erron, otpion errone, super bloc
> erron sur /dev/sdb1, ou trop de systmes de fichiers monts
Here is the line in fstab for the device:
/dev/sdb1 /mnt/removable auto
user,exec,iocharset=iso8859-15,codepage=850,noauto,kudzu,umask=0 0 0
I changed the argument "auto" with "ntfs", but after a reboot, the same error
was still here :(
When I boot my system, I quickly get a text utility for partitioning, as Mdk
says it discovered a new partition (/sdb1). But it asks me what is the size of
it and how to configure it ("linux native", "swap", etc.) I always cancel the
process because I don't want all my datas to be erased!
