I tried to open the momobay hd in command line, with superuser. It works with
/mnt/removable. But I still can't access it with my normal user.

So I tried to change the access rights of /mnt/removable (using Konqueror:
rightclick on the folder and "properties"). Whatever I change, when I click
"apply", there's an error message like "unable to change rights for
/mnt/removable!" How is it that even the superuser couldn't change the access of
this mounted file? Is it because the partition is NTFS?
When I try to umount /mnt/removable, I get the error message: "device occupied!"
(sorry I don't remember the exact words).

I don't know if this is a bug or just a strange policy in mounting removable
medias, but I guess newbies who try to plug & play their mass storage devices
under normal user won't appreciate it :(

After a fresh install of Mdk 9.2 rc2, I tried to plug and access my external
hard drive, a Momobay 40 Go with an USB connection. I use it with Windows XP,
there is one partition in NTFS.

When I turned on the device, an icon appeared on the desktop (Kde), but with the
title "unmounted on sdb1" (sorry I don't remember the exact words). When I tried
to "mount" it (right click with the mouse), I got the following error message:

> Error - kio_devices_mounthelper
> mount: type de sys. de fichiers erron, otpion errone, super bloc
> erron sur /dev/sdb1, ou trop de systmes de fichiers monts

Here is the line in fstab for the device:
/dev/sdb1 /mnt/removable auto
user,exec,iocharset=iso8859-15,codepage=850,noauto,kudzu,umask=0 0 0

I changed the argument "auto" with "ntfs", but after a reboot, the same error
was still here :(

When I boot my system, I quickly get a text utility for partitioning, as Mdk
says it discovered a new partition (/sdb1). But it asks me what is the size of
it and how to configure it ("linux native", "swap", etc.) I always cancel the
process because I don't want all my datas to be erased!
