------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-14-09 20:35 ------- hi, think that we are talking about a speedtouch usb misconfiguration. Like the others, the speedtouch usb works well with Mandrake 9.1 if i copy the firmware in "/usr/share/speedtouch". With current cooker, modem_run fails to establish the line [talking about another instance of modem_run already accessing the modem] until i add "alias speedtch off" in "/etc/modules.conf" as suggested above. Here some quick dummy test i've made: 1/Mandrake 9.2 RC2 with kernel-2.4.21.0.13mdk-1-1mdk [the one ship with Mandrake 9.1] : the internet connection works [without adding any "alias speedtch off" line in /etc/modules.conf] 2/Mandrake 9.2 RC2 with kernel-2.4.22.6mdk-1-1mdk: modem_run fails to establish the line until i put the "alias speedtch off" line to /etc/modules.conf. Hope it helps. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: NEEDINFO creation_date: description: Impossible to connect to the internet after I pasted the Alcatel microcode in the Speedtouch folder.
